Hello again! Sorry for my 5 month absence I have been kinda busy lately. Actually kinda busy doesn't begin to describe the last few months of my life. Lets see...In the last couple months I have:

1. Started a full time Engineering Job (I still photograph weddings)
2. Graduated with my degree in Engineering (yes, in that order)
3. Photographed lots of Weddings, Families, Portraits, Pregnancies, and Babies
4. And got Married!

In other words, I will never be that busy again in my life because it is literally not possible! Blogging had to take a back seat but now I am ready to start back up again! I have so much to post I don't know where to begin. It has been an amazing year for my photography business. I have had the pleasure of working with the most amazing couples and photographing many beautiful weddings. I will be posting everything from weddings, engagements, babies, pictures from my wedding, and even some really cool videos. I am also looking forward to sharing my many upcoming weddings and portraits!
For this first post I want to share something very special to myself. It is a video that my good friend Ben Potter of Cana Video Productions filmed and showed at my wedding. Ben and his crew are some of the most talented individuals you will ever meet and I feel so fortunate to know them and to have had them at our wedding. I am not sure you could sum up just how perfect our wedding was but this comes pretty darn close.

Lauren and Kiel Wedding! {Puerto Rico}

....Lauren and Kiel are two amazing people. Laura and I have been so excited for this wedding since the first time I talked to Lauren about being a part of it. Lauren and Kiel were married January 3rd, 2009 at the amazing Condado Plaza Hotel in San Juan, Puerto Rico. They were joined by forty of their closest family and friends and the entire week was a blast.
....I feel so fortunate to have had the opportunity to get to know Lauren and Kiel, as they are two of the nicest, most fun people I have ever met. Their family welcomed Laura and I into every aspect of the trip and it was such an amazing time.
....As you can see, this post is insanely long, like twice as long as any other before! I couldn't narrow it down any further, it took me hours to get it to this! Hopefully what exudes from the pictures is the love between Lauren and Kiel. Being around them is just like their friends say, it is like no one else is in the room. They are amazing together and the type of people that everyone wants to be around.
....Thank you Lauren and Kiel for being our friends and including us in your amazing day!

Vanessa and Luis Wedding!

....Vanessa and Luis are married! They planned their wedding in six weeks which is awesome and makes me totally jealous since mine is still 7 months away! The day was totally fun and laid back. The ceremony and reception were both at Giuseppe's. I got to steal them away before their ceremony to the beach for some amazing photographs and we had so much fun! The weather was beautiful and the sunset was gorgeous. Everyone had a blast and I feel so fortunate to be a part of it. Thank you Vanessa and Luis!

We had a blast running around San Luis and we got so many great pictures it was hard to pick just a few for my blog. Laura and Michael Wedding!

....Laura and Michael's wedding was the first I had photographed at the Dancing Horse Ranch in Paso Robles and the day turned out beautifully. The location was amazing, I love photographing in the country and we found some great locations. The day was super fun and went totally smooth. Most of the guests actually stayed in the guest homes at the ranch or in the motor homes that they brought. This made for a very relaxing and personal evening as Laura and Michael celebrated with their families. Thank you Laura and Michael for letting Laura and I be a part of your day.

....Sally and Mike had a beautiful and fun wedding at the Hummingbird House in Templeton, CA with a crazy party of a reception at the Inn at Moro Bay. Niki and Barrett Wedding!

....Niki and Barrett are married! Their wedding day was amazing. Despite a chance of rain, the day was unusually relaxed, and the weather turned out gorgeous. Niki and her business partner Jonnell, both of Events Redefined, did a spectacular job decorating and planning. Their wedding was held at the beautiful Fleur de Lis Estate. Laura and I had fun partying with Niki, Barrett, and their friends till late in the night. Thank you Niki and Barrett for the opportunity to capture your day!

....Lindsey and Josh are dear friends of Laura and I. Laura and Lindsey actually use to be roommates! Lindsey and Josh are both amazing people and such great friends. Their wedding was held at the amazing Victorian Gardens in Visalia, CA. The day was beautiful, a total blast, and it was such a fun group of people. Seriously, how could you take a bad picture of these two?

Over the last year I have met the nicest, funnest, most wonderful people and it has been such a blessing. ////It is pretty much my dream/goal to photograph a wedding in France, Italy, Paris.. you get the point, and I sorta not really came close with Allison and Laurent. Allison and Laurent are getting married in France in a few weeks and no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't get them to take me along. Fortunately for me I had the honor of photographing their intimate beach ceremony here on the Central Coast. With about fifteen people attending and gorgeous weather, their small wedding was perfection. The love that surrounds their two families was so fun to witness and it felt very special to be a part. There is no doubt that they are going to live an amazing life together and this was a great way to start it. Thank you Allison and Laurent.

FYI: If you are getting married in France, my fiance and I will photograph for the price of the plane tickets. Also, fifteen people weddings on the beach rock!

The day was amazing, Adornments did a spectacular job decorating, and Cypress Ridge provided the perfect spot for this party of a wedding. Norrine and Colt have a great group of family and friends and it made the day that much more enjoyable. Looking through their pictures I don't think there is one when Norrine or Colt is not laughing or smiling and it is a great representation of their perfect wedding.

I am Engaged!

\\\\Thats right I am engaged! The last week has been an emotional one. I have witnessed so much love and made so many memories it feels like I am living in a dream. Laura, my then girlfriend of over two years is now my fiancee and I know I am the luckiest man alive.
\\\\I proposed on Easter Sunday and it was an absolutely gorgeous day. After a great church service and going out to breakfast with my family, Laura and I drove out to my families ranch. Grabbing sandwiches and wine for a picnic on the way out she had no idea what I had planned. Arriving at my house we took a thirty minute ATV ride out to the furthest point on our ranch, just the two of us and our dog oakley. It is impossible to describe just how beautiful our ranch is but from the point where we stopped you could see for miles. We had our picnic and chated about life. After a while I made my way back to the ATV and snuck the hidden ring into my back pocket. I asked Laura to go on a walk and she happily complied. I hadn't been nervous all day until just then and my heart was racing. I got down on one knee and asked her to be my wife. She ecstatically screamed yes and jumped into my arms crying. After gaining composure we headed home and back into town where I had dinner reservations waiting.
\\\\Arriving at our favorite restaurant Novo our waitress led us to the back dinning area where I had both of our entire families waiting to surprise Laura. As we walked through the doors every person of our immediate families, parents, siblings, and grandparents shouted "Congratulations!" It was overwhelming and the rest of the night was amazing. I have never been in a place where I felt more genuine love and excitement.
\\\\The day was beyond perfect. As I think about our future I feel so blessed to have the family and the friends that surround us. Life could not be more perfect, I thank God every day and I look forward to all that is in store.

April and Zach Engagement!

Sunday was an amazing day! I got to spend the afternoon with my good friends Lindsey and Josh and take some engagement pictures! Between the joking, laughing, and Tim Gunn impressions we took some gorgeous pictures and it was a blast! We started off at a funky bus station, then to some abandoned barns, and finished off the day with a beautiful sunset at Montana De Oro. It was so much fun to watch them interact and witness the love they share. I cannot wait for their wedding in September!

/////Wedding and Party magazine came out about a week ago and I am so honored to have one of my images on the cover! The image is from a wedding I second shot for my mom Julie Wilson. The cover girl is Marcie who got married mid last year at the San Luis Obispo Mission. Their wedding was a blast and so much fun to photograph!
/////Wedding and Party magazine provides such a great source of information for those trying to plan a wedding. It covers all the details, providing great tips and references to find vendors. I recommend that everyone picks one up! I also have an add in the magazine which is a picture from my last wedding with Elizabeth and Noah!
/////I have felt so blessed lately. This upcoming year is going to be a busy one to say the least. I cant wait to be a part of each wedding I will be photographing this year. Elizabeth and Noah's wedding was amazing. The love that these two have for each other just radiated throughout the day. It was an absolute blast photographing them, their families, and their friends. The Cliffs Hotel along with Adornments Flowers turned the beautiful weather into a spectacular wedding day. I feel so fortunate to have been apart of such a memorable event.

09-09-07 Amal Couture Fashion Show

When my friends Ben and Sam from Cana Video Productions told me they were filming a fashion show in Hollywood...I said, "You need an assistant...and I am the guy!" Cloey from Mike Larson Photography, Sam and I took the road tip down to Hollywood, I knew this experience was going to be great because my sides hurt from laughing before we even got there. Ben and Sam's business, Cana Video Productions , is accelerating into many new fields. They make the best wedding, ministry, and fashion, videos I have ever seen. Shooting video with Sam was a great experience to learn and helping capture the fashion show was a blast. I brought along my camera to snap some pictures in this unique atmosphere. I couldn't resist! We were there to video for fashion designerAmal of Beverly Hills , who's work was extravagant and who's personality was even better. I made great friends, learned a lot, and most of all had a lot of fun. Thanks Ben and Sam for being great friends.

Thirty teenage girls, crazy bat mitzvah games, and red lipstick all over my face...details of Eve's bat mitzvah party. The party ROCKED and the San Luis Obispo Country Club provided the perfect place for it. You could feel how close this family is by the love that was surrounding Eve and the rest of the guests. At the end of the night I had made a lot of new friends and had a spectacular time!
